Hassan Nasrallah ( حسن نصرالله)
Born in 31 August 1960 has been the third Secretary General of the Lebanese political and paramilitary organization Hezbollah since his
predecessor, Abbas al-Musawi, was assassinated by theIsrael Defense Forces in February 1992. Nasrallah is often referred to as "al-Sayyed Hassan" (السيّد حسن), the honorific "Sayyed"
denoting descent from the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his grandson Hussain ibne Ali
(a.s).
